Great - It's finally settled - The beach it is! =]

I was just checking with you guys ;o) Perhaps for more interested deviants we could aways host a basketball mini devmeet - booking a public court is either free or asks a very affordable rental fee.

a) Big Wave Bay

advantages - gorgeous, not too packed, fine sand and fresh sea

disadvantages - takes some time to get there

b) Repulse Bay

advantages - Easily accessible,

disadvantages - overall steely and ultimately fake, the sand is terribly pebbly

c) Discovery Bay

advantages -.....the big buddah? Easy Trasportation

disadvantages - Usually overcrowded and a man made beach ??!

d)Stanley Beach - um, no

e) Clearwater Bay?
f)Deepwater Bay?

Anyone care to clue me in?

I thought of assigning everyone to bring a certain kind of food and the like, with someone possibly bringing their music. Sharing is caring people =] You're welcome to bring anything else you deem suitable, however for the consideration of everyone else's level of tolerance - please keep the amount of plastic spoons brought down to a minimum of three per person.

Rick and I will arrange transportation and the like of course.

Possible Dates -- Friday 22nd of July, Saturday 23rd, July ; Friday 29th of July; Saturday 30th of July

Or since most of you are on summer anyways would you prefer a weekday? The floor is open! =]

just cover whatever things are there with sand and voila empty unclaimed prime beach

The 29th or 30th sounds great to me, because I'm not back till around then

Big Wave Bay sounds interesting, I've never heard of it till now and it'd be a nice change from all the popular haunts. Coming from aus, the fake beaches in hk are a bit of a letdown

Nevertheless repulse or discovery would be fine and after all, it's to meet people

I went to Clearwater Bay once and it was pretty nice, small shops and all so...basically up to the transportation and everyone else.

mm big wave is niiceee

and not many people there...but it's quite hard to get to...

and not as many little shops and restaurants as like repulse

weekend sounds good.. some of us kinda haf summer job

lol yea.. so weekend.. and big wave bay sounds good.. and i saw that someone had a beach sculpture comp idea? that sounds good too! looking forward to the meet!

Have checked - hiring a minibus will be about $2000 (!), so it's a no no!

It's sad that you can't come with us, and yet you seem to know Big Wave Bay much more than I do. Can you provide any more details on how to get there? I.e. is there a bus station close to an MTR station so that the gathering is much easier before we get to the beach?
